~W E L C O M E !~
Here I am in my lil devil mask.
(For better views of the images, see their original posting)
And this room of my castle is my collection display of YOUR masks.
<---Cyberfolks' masks are listed (& linked) over there in the sidebar.
Peruse the collection & leave lil notes for them, if you like.
All comments will be forwarded to the masquerader(s) you whisper to.
Everyone is welcome to update or add another mask at any time!
And you don't have to be a blogger to participate.
Want to be a masquerader & have your mask hung on my castle wall?
Here are the instructions, adapted from the original Masquerade Party post ~*HNM*~:
~1~ Make a post on your blog as your submission to my gallery.
Or, if you prefer, you can email it to me directly.
(Email addy on sidebar)
~2~ Include in your post (or email):
- An image of a mask that represents YOU...
It can be a pic of you actually wearing a mask (like I did above), just a pic of a mask you own or one you found online (please remember to credit any artist's image w/a link if you go that route), or it can be a conceptual image of what the word "mask" MEANS to you. It can be just an eye mask or a 1/2, partial or full face mask. Maybe you choose an image of a masked superhero or other character. Or perhaps it's your avatar?
[Although, I'd really like to see something new. ;)
Note: Halloween-themed masks are not required.] - A lil blurb, explaining WHY you chose the pic/image you posted.
Sure, you can post a mask just cuz you thought it was pretty or whatever, but I'm really interested in more info than that. What is it about the mask you chose that *speaks* to you?
How does it represent you? Or do you just wish it did?
Do you "wear" this kind of symbolic mask in your everyday life or just with specific people or only special occasions or what?
You'll be tacked on my museum wall & added to my collection! =)

Masquerade!Paper faces on parade . . .
Masquerade!
Hide your face,
so the world will never find you!
Masquerade!
Every face a different shade . . .
Masquerade!
Look around -
there's another mask behind you!
Flash of mauve . . .
Splash of puce . . .
Fool and king . . .
Ghoul and goose . . .
Green and black . . .
Queen and priest . . .
Trace of rouge . . .
Face of beast . . .
Faces . . .
Take your turn, take a ride
on the merry-go-round . . .
in an inhuman race . . .
Eye of gold . . .
Thigh of blue . . .
True is false . . .
Who is who . . .?
Curl of lip . . .
Swirl of gown . . .
Ace of hearts . . .
Face of clown . . .
Faces . . .
Drink it in, drink it up,
till you've drowned
in the light . . .
in the sound . . .
But who can name the face . . .?
Masquerade!
Grinning yellows,
spinning reds . . .
Masquerade!
Take your fill -
let the spectacle astound you!
Masquerade!
Burning glances,
turning heads . . .
Masquerade!
Stop and stare
at the sea of smiles around you!
Masquerade!
Seething shadows
breathing lies . . .
Masquerade!
You can fool
any friend who ever knew you!
Masquerade!
Leering satyrs,
peering eyes . . .
Masquerade!
Run and hide -
but a face will still pursue you!
